Alex Vasileski Creates A Mind and Body Total Fitness: Personal ...

In a world where exercise has somehow become ironically both trendy and non-existent, it seems like we?ve lost our way in finding the definition of good health. Having worked in health and wellness for over 11 years, Alex Vasileski has taken it upon himself to change how people think about getting healthy.

Initially a pre-med student, Alex changed career paths and graduated Indiana University with a Bachelors in Psychology and Biology as well as getting a Doctorate degree in Psychology. While putting himself through school as a personal trainer, Alex saw that the trainer-client relationship proved to be cathartic to clients. It was more than just working out. He says ?it?s the understanding of the mind and body; preparing the mental state for physical change regardless of the goal.? Building a rapport provides trust and when that happens he says they care about letting you down. ?The client/trainer relationship is one that is confidential, based on trust, responsibility and honesty as well as accountability. These traits are necessary for both sides and are integral in successful sustainability.?

Successful sustainability is something that Alex has not only found with his clients, but he has also found it in himself.?Diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in 1999, Alex went through mild radiation treatment only to have the disease resurface again in 2003. Not willing to let cancer win, Alex took the bull by the horns. ?I changed how I ate (raw food), I used meditation and Eastern medicine (acupuncture and herbal therapy), along with Western medicine to overcome. I stayed positive even when it was most difficult. There were times that I felt defeated and needed the support from loved ones. My dogs proved to be a huge help in keeping my mood up.?

?I also remember the little girl that I met around that time who said that she had her sickness because some other little boy or girl wasn?t strong enough to fight this sickness. She also said God chose her because he could keep someone else from being sick. It was that statement that helped me realize my purpose in life. I vowed to create a positive world through sustainable healthy people through A Mind and Body Total Fitness!?

Since then, Alex decided to show his clients that they too have the power of change. His education and life experiences have led him to successfully change people?s attitudes and bodies. One such person was a 73-year-old man whom Alex helped walk again after severe back issues and a spinal fusion. The client can now walk cane-free! Alex knows how to put up a good fight against cancer and the impossible.

Work out with Alex on Ohio Street Beach Saturdays starting June 1. Proceeds from Exposure 2013 beach workouts go to multiple charities, including one of Cheeky?s favorites?Imerman Angels. Suggested donations are only $10. The first work out is sponsored by the Four Seasons Hotel. They will provide Eucalyptus water, towels, sunscreens to take home and ?gift certificates to their spa.

To book a solo personal training session with Alex, email him and say that Cheeky sent you!
